Bobby Kelley is a semi-professional driver with a Racer Rating of 2,984, placing him in the competitive amateur band; this represents the sharp end of club racing and entry-level professional competition, a driver quick enough to run among paid competitors but typically finishing mid-field against them. His career on record spans five years from 2009 to 2014, composed entirely of three starts in the SKUSA SuperNationals, a major invitational karting event. He did not win or podium in those races and finished on average in sixteenth position.[1]

Despite the modest record, Kelley showed occasional moments of competitiveness against much stronger drivers. He beat AJ Allmendinger, a Gold-graded professional and established series front-runner, once; Danny Formal, a Silver-graded three-time national champion, once; and Daniel Morad, a Gold-graded professional, once. Against his most frequent rivals in shared races, Travis Lowe and Andre Nicastro, both semi-professional drivers of similar standing, he finished ahead once but behind twice in each pairing. His results suggest he was a club-level driver able to trouble established professionals intermittently but not to establish a pattern of beating them. Kelley has been retired since 2014.[2]
