Andre Nicastro is a semi-professional kart racer who competed in the SKUSA SuperNationals, a multiclass national championship run in the United States. Between 2009 and 2019 he started nine times across the TaG Senior and X30 Senior classes, taking one win and two podium finishes before retiring from the series.[1]
His record placed him among closely matched semi-professional competitors in the field. He ran evenly with David Sera across multiple meetings but finished behind Jake Craig more often than ahead of him. Nicastro's most notable results came against drivers who had raced at higher levels; he beat established professional Dan Wheldon, a 2005 IndyCar champion, twice, and finished ahead of AJ Allmendinger, a Gold-graded driver with extensive NASCAR and IndyCar experience, once. These results were isolated rather than indicative of his typical position in the field.[2]
