Chris Scribner competed in karting at the SKUSA SuperNationals level between 2007 and 2009, a competitive amateur category encompassing the front of club racing and the entry point of pro-am competition. His Racer Rating of 2,981 places him in the competitive amateur band; this level describes quick, usually self-funded drivers who race against professionals rather than with them as regular peers. Scribner made three starts in that span, averaging a ninth-place finish, and recorded no wins or podiums.[1]

The record shows isolated results against stronger drivers. Scribner finished ahead of Dan Wheldon, an established professional rated 5,853, once; he also beat Buddy Rice, a Gold-graded professional at 4,536, once; and finished ahead of Eric Lichtenstein and John Zartarian in single instances. These were occasional outcomes rather than patterns of repeated competition; they do not establish Scribner as operating at those drivers' level, but they mark moments of competitive achievement against materially stronger fields. His karting career remained brief and at the amateur end of the competitive spectrum before he retired from the sport.[2]
