Neil Alberico is an entry-level professional driver with FIA Silver grading, competing across North American single-seater and prototype racing from 2007 to 2020. His indexed career spans Pro Mazda Championship and Indy NXT in open-wheel competition, IMSA Prototype Challenge in LMP3 prototypes, and Lamborghini Super Trofeo in GT machinery. He drove for established operations including Cape Motorsports, Wayne Taylor Racing, Team Pelfrey and Ansa Motorsports.[1]
Alberico won four races in Pro Mazda Championship across two seasons, taking 12 podiums from 30 starts between 2014 and 2015. He stepped into Indy NXT in 2016 with Team Pelfrey, where he remained through 2018 and scored two podiums in 35 starts. In 2019 he moved to prototype racing with Ansa Motorsports in IMSA Prototype Challenge, winning on his series debut and adding a second podium from six starts. He returned to Ansa in 2020 for four starts in Lamborghini Super Trofeo Pro class before his career on record concluded.[2]
In single-seater competition Alberico faced fields mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals. He regularly finished ahead of Dalton Kellett, a Silver-graded professional who went on to race 69 Indy NXT rounds and 41 IndyCar events, and ran closely matched with Shelby Blackstock, another entry-level professional in the same circuits. He finished ahead of Pato O'Ward, an elite professional and two-time champion, on 14 occasions across Pro Mazda and Indy NXT, and ahead of Felix Rosenqvist, an established professional who raced Formula 3 European and IndyCar, three times in head-to-head meetings.
