Brett Buckwalter competed in karting between 2007 and 2013, making seven starts in the SKUSA SuperNationals across that period. He did not win races or podium finishes during his career. His average finishing position across classified starts was 9.7, placing him in the lower half of amateur karting competition.[1]
Buckwalter raced primarily against other amateur and club-level drivers, with a mixed head-to-head record against his frequent rivals. He finished ahead of Joey Wimsett, Jason Toft and Fritz Leesmann on several occasions, though he trailed those same competitors more often than he beat them. His most notable results came in isolated instances when he finished ahead of drivers with significantly stronger credentials; he beat FIA Gold-graded AJ Allmendinger and Daniel Morad, along with former IndyCar champion Dan Wheldon and three-time champion Michael Lewis, though these were single results rather than patterns of sustained competitiveness against that calibre.[2]
Buckwalter retired from racing after 2013 and has not returned to competition since.
