Brett Buckwalter was a semi-professional racing karting at the SKUSA SuperNationals, the national-level American karting championship held each year at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He raced in the S1 Pro Stock Moto and TaG Senior classes between 2007 and 2013.[1]
Buckwalter made seven starts at the SuperNationals across those seven seasons. He raced against semi-professional regulars including Joey Wimsett and Jason Toft, drivers who had made multiple appearances in the same championship; Buckwalter typically finished behind both. The field at the SuperNationals mixes amateur entrants with professionals, and Buckwalter finished ahead of established professionals Dan Wheldon, a former IndyCar champion, and AJ Allmendinger, an FIA Gold graded driver with experience across NASCAR's national and development series and IndyCar, on one occasion each.[2]
