Mark Olson is a competitive amateur driver, rated 2,731, placing him in the club-level band where drivers race in competitive regional and national fields but typically do not sustain professional careers. His single season on record comprises one start in the 2007 Star Mazda Championship, a feeder series to open-wheel racing, where he drove for Mundill Racing and finished thirtieth in his sole outing.[1]
That single appearance saw Olson beat several drivers rated in the semi-professional range, including Jonny Baker (3,524), Charles Anti (3,403), Dave Mundy (3,202), and Yannick Hofman (3,145), a meaningful result against stronger competitors for a driver making one race start. Mundill Racing, the team that fielded him, has recorded two wins across its index history and has run fourteen drivers, its strongest being Anders Krohn at professional level. Olson's brief and limited record prevents any assessment of consistency or trajectory. He is now retired from racing.
