René Rasmussen was a semi-professional endurance racing driver who competed in the 24H Series, a multiclass international championship in which production-based and GT4 cars share the track across shared-driving races. He raced for Perfection Racing Europe in the A3 production touring car class and GT4 class between 2018 and 2019.[1]
Rasmussen took one win and three podiums across five starts in two seasons. His single victory came in 2018 at Silverstone, where his car won despite weather disruptions. He finished his career sixth in the 24H Series championship standings in his final season.[2]
His record included results against established professionals graded by the FIA; he finished ahead of Russell Ward, an IMSA WeatherTech GTD champion, on two occasions, and beat Indy Dontje, an established professional with extensive IMSA and international endurance experience, once. These results came in a shared-driving format where multiple drivers contribute to each car's result.
