Chris Walsh is a competitive amateur racer, FIA Bronze graded, competing in national sprint and endurance series across the United States. He races solo in TC America powered by Skip Barber for Carrus Callas Raceteam, piloting a 350-plus-horsepower touring car in the TCX class, and competes in multiclass endurance racing in IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, where he drives a GT4 car in the GSX class. His most recent activity is in the Zenith Racing Series, where he is currently mid-field at 19th in the championship standings after two rounds, with two podium finishes so far.[1]
Walsh won the 2024 TC America TCX championship with eight wins and thirteen podiums across thirteen starts, a dominant performance in a field mixing amateurs and professionals. In IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, he has taken three podiums from nine starts in 2025. He has also raced GT4 America, taking three podiums from four starts in multiclass endurance racing, and sits at a career total of eight wins and twenty-one podiums from twenty-eight starts across the four series.[2]
His regular competition in TC America pits him against semi-professional drivers such as Celso Neto, with whom he is closely matched, and Cooper Broll, a competitive amateur whom he usually finishes ahead of. Walsh has beaten established professionals including Kenton Koch, a multiple champion across IMSA and GT4 America, and Parker Thompson, a professional and former Porsche Carrera Cup champion, though sparingly and without establishing a pattern against them.
