Sawinski typically finished behind his most frequent opponents, Jerry Greene and Fernando Pena, both of whom he encountered regularly throughout his PCA career. He managed to finish ahead of semi-professional drivers Bill Peluchiwski twice and Chris Brown once, representing his strongest individual results against more experienced competition in a mixed amateur and professional field.[2]
