Cody Poage raced in NASA, a national multiclass championship mixing amateur and professional drivers across 15 classes in a single race. He drove a Legends Ford Coupe, a 5/8-scale 1930s-style car with a motorcycle engine, in that series' Legends class and its professional variants from 2007 to 2014.[1]
Across six seasons Poage took 24 starts and seven podiums. His most active year came in 2014, when he started three rounds and finished seventh in the championship standings with two podiums from those three races.[2]
Poage raced regularly against competitive amateurs Bobby Christensen and club-level driver Bobby Pugh, usually finishing behind both. He beat established professional David Walker, a driver with 11 Formula 1 starts, once in NASA competition, and took a win over entry-level professional Shota Abkhazava, who later raced in international Lamborghini championships.
