He drove for teams including Tricar and TRS Components across a career spanning 25 starts in single-class national championships run in North America, finishing 16th in the NASCAR Canada Series standings in his most recent season.[1]
Powell took a single win across his NASCAR Canada campaign and added five podiums from 20 starts in the series, along with one podium finish from five ARCA starts, all contested on ovals. His results clustered in the mid-field against regular opponents; he ran closely matched against professionals Donald Theetge and Kevin Lacroix, each of whom had substantially more starts across multiple series. He finished ahead of Brandon Jones, an established professional with extensive Xfinity and truck racing credentials, once across their meetings.
