Dave Whitmore is a competitive amateur racing in the British GT Championship, a multiclass endurance series in which drivers share GT4 cars over the course of a season. He raced for Car Gods with Ciceley Motorsport in 2021, his only indexed season, across four rounds of the championship.[1]
Whitmore finished 12th in the 2021 British GT Championship GT4 standings. Across those four starts, he was closely matched against Alain Valente, a professional-level Silver-graded driver with extensive experience in Italian Formula 4, GT World Challenge Europe and ADAC GT Masters; Whitmore finished ahead of him once. He regularly finished behind Gustav Burton, the 2021 British GT Championship GT4 champion. On one occasion Whitmore also finished ahead of Darren Turner, a Gold-graded professional with 59 World Endurance Championship starts and 21 FIA GT Championship appearances among his record.[2]
