Chris Salkeld is an entry-level professional racing in multiclass endurance championships. He drives GT4 cars for Century Motorsport in the British GT Championship, where he has spent four seasons since 2021, and has made occasional appearances in higher categories: a single GT3 start in the 24H Series and two rounds in GT World Challenge Europe in 2024.[1]
Across 35 starts he has taken one win and eight podiums, all but two of those results coming in British GT. His record against the field is mixed. He has run closely matched with Jack Brown, the 2025 British GT GT4 champion, splitting results between them over multiple seasons, and regularly finishes ahead of competitive amateur Joe Wheeler. He has beaten established professionals in single meetings; he finished ahead of Charles Weerts, a three-time GT World Challenge Europe champion, once across their two encounters, and ahead of Sheldon van der Linde, the 2022 DTM champion, in a shared-car race. His two appearances in GT World Challenge Europe in 2024 placed him 40th in the championship standings for the season.[2]
Century Motorsport, a stable operation that fields multiple drivers and counts established professional Jake Dennis among its roster, has been his primary team for 33 of his 35 starts. The operation has a win tally of 33 across the index and runs drivers at various levels of the amateur and professional spectrum.
