Jack Brown is an entry-level professional racing in the British GT Championship, a national multiclass endurance series. He drives for Optimum Motorsport in the GT3 class, piloting a GT3 car as a shared-drive partner in a field mixing amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals. Brown holds an FIA Silver grading, the intermediate sportscar licence sitting between the full-professional Platinum and Gold grades above and the amateur Bronze below. His rating of 3,736 places him at professional level; he has spent six seasons on record racing in this championship and one appearance in Ferrari Challenge.[1]
Brown won the 2025 British GT Championship in the GT3 class. Across his five full seasons in British GT from 2021 to 2026, he has taken 12 wins and 19 podiums from 44 starts, graduating from the GT4 class after 2025 to contest the top class in 2026. His competitive record runs steadily against regular opponents; he usually finishes ahead of Joe Wheeler, a competitive amateur and Silver-graded driver he meets frequently, and runs closely matched with Chris Salkeld, an entry-level professional. In single meetings against stronger drivers he has beaten Ben Barnicoat, a Platinum-graded professional and 2023 IMSA WeatherTech GTDPRO champion, and Tom Ingram, an established professional and two-time BTCC champion.[2]
The field in British GT spans from club-level amateurs to established professionals, with graded drivers from Platinum down to Bronze racing in the same multiclass grid. Brown sits in the mid-field of that spread, regularly competitive but not dominant against his most frequent opponents. His maiden GT3 victory came at Silverstone in August 2026.
