Lance Bergstein is a semi-professional driver rated 3,500, placing him in the competitive amateur band; he races primarily in sportscar and endurance series where he competes at an amateur level. The FIA categorises him as Bronze, the amateur grade within GT and endurance racing, and his record reflects consistent participation in pro-am and gentleman driver fields rather than professional championships. Across nine series from 2017 to 2026, Bergstein has started 35 times, averaging a finish of P10.9 with two wins and five podiums to his name.[1]

Bergstein's most substantial efforts have come in IMSA Pilot Challenge, where he has completed 16 starts for Bryan Herta Autosport with Curb Agajanian, a team that fields multiple drivers annually at the sharp end of that series. In that sustained campaign he managed one podium against a field including FIA Silver-graded professionals such as Denis Dupont, the 2025 IMSA Pilot Challenge TCR champion, and Mark Wilkins, a former champion of the same series; Bergstein finished behind both men in the head-to-head, winning four races apiece but losing twelve. He has also raced American Endurance Racing, where he scored one win and two podiums across four starts, and GT4 America in 2024, yielding one win and two podiums from three entries. A single outing in the IMSA WeatherTech series in 2022 produced no points, and three European GT World Challenge starts in 2023 proved similarly unfruitful. Most recently, Bergstein finished P161 across two SCCA Majors rounds in 2022. Isolated strong results against drivers of significantly higher calibre, including one finish ahead of Raffaele Marciello, the 2023 GT World Challenge Europe champion, and another ahead of Linus Lundqvist, a Formula Regional Americas champion, exist in his record but do not constitute a pattern of competitive strength at their level.
