David Gausman is a club-level endurance racing driver competing in American Endurance Racing since 2021. His Racer Rating of 1,991 places him in the club racing band, the level of regional and established amateur competition where real racing licences and genuine results exist but fields do not meet the calibre of full professionals. Across six seasons and 59 starts, Gausman has won eleven races and finished on the podium thirty-one times, averaging P3.5 across all classified finishes. He has claimed three class championships in American Endurance Racing: Class 1 in 2021, and Class 3 in both 2024 and 2025.[1]

Gausman's competitive record shows a mixed head-to-head picture against his most frequent rivals. Against Karsten Richards, a multiple American Endurance Racing class champion at a notably stronger rating, Gausman finished ahead in eight of seventeen shared races but behind in nine, indicating broadly even competition. He has a clear advantage over James Counterman and Cody Ace, both past American Endurance Racing champions, winning nine of fourteen races and nine of thirteen respectively; however, he has struggled against Harry Sukumaran and Jeff Jones, trailing both drivers consistently. His occasional victories over FIA Bronze graded drivers, Jeff Smith three times and Chad Gilsinger once, represent isolated highlights rather than patterns of sustained competitiveness at a higher level.

Gausman remains active in 2026, having won two races and scored three podiums in six rounds to finish first in the season standings. His career has been entirely contained within American Endurance Racing, building success through accumulated class championships at the entry and mid-tier levels of the series rather than through progression to stronger fields or categories.
