Karsten Richards is a competitive amateur racing in American Endurance Racing, a multiclass endurance championship in which shared cars compete across multiple classes and two countries. He races primarily in Classes 1, 2 and 3, driving production-based cars, and has also made occasional starts in PCA Club Racing, where he drives a Porsche in the solo SP2 class.[1]

Richards won American Endurance Racing in both 2022 and 2023. Across American Endurance Racing he has 60 starts and 17 wins, with 32 podiums; in PCA Club Racing he has 4 starts and 1 podium. His record spans seven seasons from 2020 to the present.[2]

His most regular opponents are fellow development-level drivers and semi-professionals. He typically finishes ahead of Robert Goldlust, who has nearly 60 American Endurance Racing starts to Richards' account. Against Thomas Lee, who won the American Endurance Racing Class 2 championship in 2024 and 2025, Richards is closely matched; the pair split their head-to-head meetings. Richards has also beaten Tommy Byrne, a professional with endurance racing experience and four Formula 3 Macau starts, in two meetings, and has finished ahead of Dave Cox, an entry-level professional in the 24H Series.
