David Irish raced in two national multiclass championships in the United States between 2010 and 2016. He competed in NASA's GTS4 class, driving a Porsche Cayman S for five starts across four seasons, and in PCA Club Racing's GTB1 class, piloting a Porsche across 14 starts over five years. His racing placed him at a developing level, competing in fields that mixed amateur and semi-professional drivers with graded professionals.[1]
Irish made 23 starts across both series. His record in PCA Club Racing, where he spent most of his time, saw him finish 44th in the championship standings in his final season of 2016. Against regular opponents in that series, he typically finished behind Michael Mammano and David Felker, both developing drivers with substantially more experience; he has beaten club-level drivers Harold Petit Jr. and Joe Courtney once each across his career.[2]
