Mirissis was a developing club racer who competed in BMW CCA Club Racing, a national multiclass championship that fields amateurs and professionals across eight classes on the same grid. Racing solo in the CM and JS classes, both BMW categories, he made five starts across two seasons between 2007 and 2010.[1]
He took two podiums from those five starts, finishing 16th in the championship standings in his final season. Against his regular rivals Fred Ferguson and Eric Heinrich, both club-level competitors with substantially more experience in the series, he typically finished behind them. He beat David Hellman and Dan Fitzgerald, drivers at similar developing level to himself.[2]
