Gaetano Starrabba was an Italian driver who made two Formula 1 starts for Lotus-Maserati between 1961 and 1963. His World Championship debut came at the 1961 Italian Grand Prix at Monza on 10 September 1961, where he finished 18th and scored no points. He did not finish in the points in either of his two championship starts, and he made no impression on Formula 1 racing at the highest level.[1]
Starrabba's racing career was brief and confined to single-seater competition at the top level. With only two starts and no podium finishes, his results place him in a field of drivers for whom Formula 1 proved unachievable as a sustained career path. He is now retired from racing, though he has appeared at historic racing events in later years.[2]
