🇺🇸 Glenn Bocchino

Glenn Bocchino is a competitive amateur driver; his rating of 2,995 places him at the front of club racing and regional competition, the level of quick, usually self-funded drivers who race against professionals rather than alongside them at the sharp end. His recorded career consists of two starts in the Star Mazda Championship during 2004, competing for Velocity Motorsports. He did not finish in the points across those races and averaged a P20 finish.[1]

Despite the brevity of his competition record, Bocchino showed early promise against stronger opposition. In a single outing against Michael McDowell, a Gold-graded professional who would go on to become a series champion, Bocchino finished ahead of him. He also bettered Ryan Justice, a professional-level driver, and held his own against semi-professional competitors Ross Smith and Mike Andersen in individual races. These were isolated results rather than sustained patterns, but they indicate he was competitive within a field that contained drivers of considerably higher standing than his own eventual rating would suggest.

Bocchino's time in motor racing was brief. His two Star Mazda starts in 2004 comprised the entirety of his recorded career, and he has since retired from the sport. No further competition history is on file.
