Jack Murchison is an entry-level professional competing in national solo sprint racing across multiple single-class and multiclass championships in the United States and North America. He races Mazda MX-5 machinery in SCCA Regionals and SCCA Majors, where he competes in SM, SSM and STL classes; he has also started in the TGRNA GR Cup North America, driving a Toyota GR86 cup car for Copeland Motorsports, and in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin for AAG Racing.[1]

Across four seasons from 2023 to 2025, Murchison has taken 47 starts and scored two wins and eleven podiums. His record is rooted in SCCA Regionals, where he has competed since 2023 with two wins and nine podiums from 26 starts. His performances in SCCA Majors have been more modest; he has finished on the podium twice in seventeen starts. His 2025 campaign brought debuts in both the TGRNA GR Cup North America and Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, emerging from two rounds in the latter series to finish 30th in the season standings.[2]

Murchison typically finishes ahead of competitive amateur and developing drivers such as Arif Kazim and James Roberts, both regular opponents at SCCA Regionals. He has recorded wins over stronger professional company; he beat Westin Workman, the 2025 TGRNA GR Cup North America Am champion and an FIA Silver graded driver with extensive competition in both series, twice, and has beaten Nate Cicero, a professional with significant experience in Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup and IMSA Pilot Challenge, once.
