James Barakat is a club-level driver racing in American national multiclass championships. He competes primarily in NASA, where he drives a spec BMW E30 3-series in the Spec E30 class, and has also raced in American Endurance Racing and BMW CCA Club Racing. His most recent activity is in NASA, where he finished 34th in the 2024 championship standings.[1]

Barakat has 67 starts across five seasons since 2021, with three wins and 22 podiums. His primary wins and most consistent results come in NASA, where he has taken three victories and 18 podiums in 59 starts. He has added three podiums in four endurance starts with American Endurance Racing, a shared-car multiclass series, and one podium in four starts with BMW CCA Club Racing in the spec E46 class.[2]

The fields Barakat races carry a mix of amateurs and graded professionals competing in the same multiclass events.
