Alaoui won three races and took four podiums from five NASA starts in 2022, racing in the Spec Miata class. He returned in 2023 with one start apiece in SCCA Regionals SMX and Spec MX-5 Challenge. His record against regular opponents is strong; he typically finished ahead of semi-professional Cooper Hicks and club-level Sophia Storey, and he beat entry-level professional Ethan Lampe, a two-time SCCA Runoffs SMX champion, once across their meetings.[2]
Alaoui raced primarily in multiclass fields where amateurs and semi-professionals shared the grid with graded professionals.
