Ethan Lampe is an entry-level professional competing in national solo sprint racing across multiclass championships. He races spec Mazda MX-5s for Advanced Autosports in the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup presented by Michelin, where he has contested six rounds so far this season and currently sits 11th in the championship standings.[1]
Lampe won back-to-back championships in 2024 and 2025, taking the SCCA Regionals title with six wins from seven starts and the SCCA Majors title with seven wins from eight starts. His earlier career in NASA from 2022 to 2023 produced eight wins and 21 podiums across 30 starts in the Spec Miata class. He has also won both of his SCCA Runoffs appearances.[2]
In the Whelen Mazda MX-5 Cup, Lampe competes in a field that includes Westin Workman, a professional driver and 2025 TGRNA GR Cup North America Am champion with extensive experience in prototype and production car racing. Lampe has finished ahead of Workman. Among his regular opponents in SCCA events are Cooper Hicks, a semi-professional with substantial NASA and SCCA Majors experience whom Lampe usually outpaces, and Andres Prieto, a competitive amateur and FIA Bronze-graded driver with whom he has run closely matched.
