Olivo was a competitive amateur in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a national multiclass endurance championship run at the Nürburgring in which amateurs and professionals share the same races. He raced primarily in the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport and BMW one-make classes, sharing his car with co-drivers across his six-season career from 2010 to 2016.[1]
Across 45 starts he took 12 wins and finished on the podium 24 times. He won the 2012 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie championship with Car #701, which he drove for throughout that campaign and for most of his career at the series. His final season in 2016 saw him finish 34th in the championship standings.[2]
Olivo regularly finished ahead of fellow competitive amateurs Peter Utsch and Holger Goedicke, both long-term regulars at the series. His record also includes podium finishes ahead of Jesse Krohn, a professional and FIA Gold-graded driver who went on to win the 2015 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie SP 9 class, and Manuel Metzger, a professional and FIA Silver-graded driver who had won two Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie titles in the V5 and V6 classes.
