🇩🇪 Jürgen Peter

Jürgen Peter is a competitive amateur who raced endurance cars in German national championships. Between 2010 and 2014 he contested the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a multiclass series run at the Nürburgring where production-based race cars and purpose-built Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsports shared the track with graded professionals and semi-professionals in the same races. He drove for roadrunner racing across most of that period, finishing in the top three in ten of his thirty starts in the series and taking two wins. His final indexed appearance came in 2019 at the Nürburgring 24 Hours, also a mixed-class endurance event.[1]

Peter typically finished mid-field against regular opponents of his own level. He was closely matched with Holger Goedicke, another competitive amateur and a frequent rival in the Langstrecken-Serie, but usually finished behind Elmar Jurek, the 2012 Cup 3 champion and a much-raced fixture in the series. He finished ahead of Jakub Giermaziak, a FIA Gold professional and two-time SP 9 Pro champion, once; and Manuel Metzger, a FIA Silver professional and two-time Langstrecken-Serie champion with extensive international endurance racing experience, once.[2]
