Julian Perry was a competitive amateur racing in Germany's multiclass endurance championship between 2010 and 2012. He competed in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie across its Cup 2 and Cup 3 classes, driving Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and Cayman GT4 Clubsport cars, including five starts for Manthey Racing Porsche.[1]
Perry completed 12 starts over three seasons. He took a single podium finish and finished 27th in the championship standings in his final season of 2012. His racing came in a multiclass field mixing amateur and semi-professional drivers with entry-level professionals, a format in which co-drivers share the car across endurance races.[2]
Against his most regular opponents, Perry typically finished behind them; Rodney Forbes, the 2010 Cup 2 champion, and Kai Riemer, a Bronze-graded professional and later Cup 3 champion, were both regular fixtures in his races. Perry did finish ahead of professional-level drivers including William Langhorne, who had driven in International Formula 3000 and IndyCar, and Marc Busch, an established competitor in the series with 47 starts to his credit.
