Jay Salinsky is a competitive amateur with a Racer Rating of 2,677. This level represents the front of club racing and regional competition; drivers at this tier are quick and usually self-funded, racing against a mix of professionals and semi-professionals rather than exclusively among peers at their own level.[1]
Salinsky's racing record on file consists of a single start in the 2022 IMSA Pilot Challenge, driving for NGP Motorsports. In that appearance, he finished 41st and failed to score a podium. Despite the limited sample, that one outing placed him ahead of several stronger competitors in classification, including FIA Silver graded professionals Tyler Maxson and Robert Wickels, as well as Mark Wilkins, an FIA Gold graded driver and 2019 IMSA Pilot Challenge TCR champion. Such results, however isolated to a single race, demonstrate that Salinsky could operate credibly in a field populated by paid professionals.
With only one race recorded across a single season in 2022, Salinsky's competitive history is minimal. He is now retired from active racing.
