Jo Schlesser was a French Formula 1 driver who competed in the 1967 and 1968 seasons for Honda. His career was brief; he made two starts in world championship races without scoring points or finishing on a podium. He raced during an era when Honda was establishing itself in Formula 1, a period in which the manufacturer ultimately fielded eight drivers across its tenure but achieved only three race wins.[1]

Schlesser's single season of documented activity in 1968 saw him start one round, finishing 25th. His time in Formula 1 was cut short; he was killed during the 1968 French Grand Prix at Rouen. Though his own career in the sport remained limited, his family's connection to motorsport extended beyond him; his nephew Jean-Louis Schlesser later competed in Formula 1 during the 1980s.[2]
