Jonathan Coleman is a retired racing driver with a competitive amateur rating of 2,895. His career on record spans a single season in 2016, consisting of one race in the World Endurance Championship driving for SO24 ! By Lombard Racing. He finished 61st in that event, which represents the entirety of his documented racing activity.[1]
Coleman's single WEC start placed him against a field that included several accomplished sportscar drivers. He finished ahead of Shinji Nakano, an established professional; Luis Felipe Derani, another professional-level competitor; Ben Keating, a multi-time IMSA and WEC champion and FIA Bronze-graded driver; and Marc Goossens, a Gold-graded professional. These were isolated results from one race rather than a sustained pattern, but they indicate Coleman was competitive within a strong endurance field. His team, SO24 ! By Lombard Racing, was fielding its debut season in international sportscar racing at the time, and Coleman was the highest-finishing driver associated with that programme in the available record.
Coleman has since retired from racing. His record offers limited scope for analysis given its brevity; however, his single competitive appearance demonstrates he was capable of holding his own against professional-level drivers in a major international series.
