Dan Ammann is an entry-level professional racer with FIA Bronze grading, competing in national multiclass and single-class sprint and endurance racing in North America. He races for Vintage Racing Company in Porsche Sprint Challenge and Porsche Endurance Challenge events, driving GT3 Cup and Cayman machinery, and also competes in IMSA's Pilot Challenge and VP Racing SportsCar Challenge for VRC Motorsports Group. His career spans two seasons from 2025 to the present.[1]
Ammann has taken one win and four podiums across 33 starts. His breakthrough came in Porsche Endurance Challenge, where he won once and took a second podium in three starts in shared-car racing; in Porsche Sprint Challenge Cayman he scored three podiums from six solo starts in 2025. His current season in Porsche Sprint Challenge GT3 Cup shows him eleventh in points with three rounds completed; he also continues to race IMSA Pilot Challenge and VP Racing SportsCar Challenge at the start of 2026.[2]
In fields mixing amateurs with graded professionals, Ammann regularly finishes behind established opponents including FIA Gold-graded professionals such as Jeff Westphal, a former IMSA Pilot Challenge champion, and Morgan Burkhard, an entry-level professional with significant IMSA experience. He has finished ahead of Robby Foley, the 2025 GT World Challenge America Pro-Am champion, and Jack Hawksworth, an IMSA WeatherTech champion and former IndyCar driver, once each.
