Trenton Estep is an American driver from New Braunfels, Texas, who began racing karts at the age of four and competed extensively on the national and international karting circuit, including the SKUSA Pro Tour, Florida Winter Tour, US Open and the Rotax Grand Finals in Portugal. He moved into open-wheel racing in 2016, taking championships in Formula Tour F1600 and Canadian F1600 Super Series competition, and also made an appearance in Red Bull Global Rallycross that same year. In 2017 he shifted into GT racing with JDX Racing in the North American Porsche GT3 Cup Series, finishing third in points with numerous podiums, before returning in 2018 to win the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Championship outright with backing from Hertz Global and Byers Porsche of Columbus. That success led to a Porsche Junior Programme Shootout invitation at Circuit Paul Ricard, where at 18 he was the youngest of eleven drivers selected worldwide.[1]
Estep has since moved into IMSA WeatherTech competition, currently driving for Car Blanche as an active participant in the series. Across nine career starts he has recorded one win and three podium finishes, and his Racer Rating of 3,043 places him 984th among active drivers on the platform's Elo-style scale. In the 2026 season he has made one start without a win or podium, sitting tenth in the standings so far. With no series championships yet to his name at this level, Estep continues to build on the foundation established through his junior categories and Porsche one-make success as he pursues further results in IMSA competition.[2]
