Sean Quinlan is a Bronze-graded amateur competitor in national solo sprint and multiclass endurance racing. He races a BMW 325is for his own effort in NASA's German-car classes, and campaigns a Stephen Cameron Racing GT4 car in IMSA's Pilot Challenge and VP Racing SportsCar Challenge series, where the field mixes amateurs with established professionals in shared-car and solo formats across the same tracks.[1]
Quinlan has thirteen seasons of racing on record from 2014 to the present, accumulating 126 starts across three series. His primary series has been NASA, where he has made 56 starts since 2014 in various BMW-based classes and taken five wins and ten podiums; he finished 74th in the 2022 championship standings. He joined IMSA Pilot Challenge in 2020 with Stephen Cameron Racing and has made 51 starts there with two podiums, racing a GT4 car in the shared-driver GS class. He added IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge in 2023, where he has made 19 solo starts in a GT4 car and taken two podiums.[2]
Quinlan races alongside stronger drivers regularly. He is closely matched with Frank DePew, a Bronze-graded entry-level professional and 2023 IMSA Pilot Challenge GS champion whom he meets across both IMSA series. He usually finishes behind Luca Mars, a Silver-graded professional who won the 2024 VP Racing SportsCar Challenge title and the 2025 Pilot Challenge championship. The calibre of the field is marked by Mars and established professionals such as Corey Heim, a three-time NASCAR Truck champion and established professional whom Quinlan has beaten once on track.
