Ken Tubman was a developing amateur competitor in national multiclass club racing. He raced solo in NASA and PCA Club Racing between 2012 and 2020, driving Mazda MX-5 Miatas and Porsches in classes shared with semi-professional and graded professional competitors. His main team fielded him in 19 of his 41 starts across multiple drivers.[1]
Over eight seasons Tubman took one win and five podiums from 41 starts. The bulk of his racing came in NASA, where he started 34 times across its Spec Miata and Super Touring 2 classes between 2012 and 2020; he scored one win and four podiums there. He also raced PCA Club Racing from 2013 to 2015, taking one podium from seven starts and finishing 18th in the 2015 championship standings.[2]
In a field mixing amateurs with professionals and graded Silver drivers, Tubman typically finished behind his regular rivals. He ran most often against Gale Corley, a club-level regular with nearly 200 starts across NASA and SCCA competition, and Stephen Jeu, a developing driver with over 120 NASA starts; he trailed both drivers as a rule. He finished ahead of Parker Chase, a professional and Silver-graded driver with IMSA and ARCA experience, once in their meetings, and ahead of Danny Soufi, a professional Silver driver and multiple champion of the Prototype Winter Series, three times across their races together.
