Kevin Elion races club-level single-seater competition in the SCCA's Spec Racer Ford class. He competes in the regional and national championships run by SCCA, driving one-design SRF3 sports racers in multiclass fields that mix amateurs, semi-professionals and graded professionals on the same track.[1]
Across six seasons from 2021 to 2026, Elion has taken one win and five podiums from 25 starts in SCCA Regionals, where he races most often. He has also started six times in SCCA Majors and once at the SCCA Runoffs, the national championship. His record against the field shows him consistently mid-pack; he typically finishes behind Sam Schechter, the 2023 SCCA Regionals SRF3 champion, but usually ahead of fellow club driver Keith Fraser, a regular with 81 Regionals starts.[2]
Elion has on occasion beaten stronger drivers: he finished ahead of Brayton Williams, an entry-level professional with a FIA Bronze grade, and of Brian Schofield, who won the 2025 SCCA Majors SRF3 title.
