Konstantin Calko is a Latvian racing driver and a historical figure in his country's motorsport; he became the first Latvian driver to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. His professional racing record consists of a single World Endurance Championship start in 2017, driving for Arc Bratislava in what was an amateur-level entry to one of professional motorsport's most demanding fields.[1]
Calko's sole classified finish came at the 2017 WEC round at Le Castellet, where he completed the race in 51st place overall. That result placed him ahead of several drivers with significantly stronger credentials, including Ben Keating, a four-time champion and FIA Silver graded professional; Jeroen Bleekemolen, a former champion and FIA Platinum graded driver; and Ricky Taylor, a five-time champion and FIA Gold professional. These were isolated instances rather than patterns of competitive success, however; they reflect the nature of endurance racing, where grid positions, pit strategy, and driver rotation often create opportunities for less-experienced entrants to finish ahead of stronger competitors across a 24-hour race. His Racer Rating of 2,697 places him among amateur-level drivers, and his career ended after that single appearance in 2017.[2]
