Martin O'Connell is a retired professional driver whose indexed racing career consists of a single start in Formula 3 Macau in 1998, driving for Rowan Racing. The series mixed amateur, semi-professional and graded professional entrants in a single-class field.[1]
That one appearance in the Macau grid produced a result against established opposition. O'Connell finished ahead of Daisuke Ito, then early in a career that would lead to the 2014 Super GT GT500 championship, and ahead of Sebastien Bourdais, who would go on to race 152 rounds of IndyCar and 65 rounds of IMSA WeatherTech endurance competition.[2]
