Maximilian Weissermel is a club-level driver racing in national multiclass endurance championships at the Nürburgring. He competes in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie and the Nürburgring 24 Hours, sharing modified and production-based race cars in the SP 3, SP 3T, and VT2 Front classes.[1]
Weissermel has made eight starts across both series since 2022, taking one podium finish at the 2025 Nürburgring 24 Hours. In the Langstrecken-Serie, he raced five times across 2022 and 2023 in the SP 3 and VT2 Front classes; he has since moved to the 24-hour format, where he has started three times for the THOMAS MUESEKNS operation and scored that podium in the most recent running.[2]
He races regularly against competitive amateurs including Felix Schumann, the 2022 VT2 Front champion, and Daniel Mertens, who won the VT2 Front title in both 2023 and 2024. Weissermel is closely matched with Schumann but typically finishes behind Mertens. He has beaten entry-level professionals Frank Bird and Wolfgang Haugg in single meetings; Bird has six Langstrecken-Serie starts and three in the 24-hour series, while Haugg brings experience across the Langstrecken-Serie, 24-hour racing and the FIA GT Championship.
