🇩🇪 Michael Sander

Michael Sander is an entry-level professional competing in European multiclass endurance and sprint racing. He races GT3 machinery in the GT Winter Series, a multiclass international championship mixing amateurs and professionals, and BMW M240i Racing cars in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a 15-class endurance series run in Germany where each car carries multiple drivers. He competes for Schnitzelalm Racing, which has fielded more than 60 drivers and won races across the series he contests.[1]

Sander won the 2022 Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie BMW M240i class with Schnitzelalm Racing in his first indexed season. He has continued at the same level through 2023, finishing third in the championship standings after taking one win and five podiums from nine rounds. His three career wins have all come in the Nürburgring series; he added a single podium in six starts in the GT Winter Series in 2026.[2]

Sander races regularly against Sven Markert, the four-time reigning Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie BMW M240i champion, and typically finishes behind him. He is closely matched with Anton Ruf, a Silver-graded amateur regular in the same class. Among graded professionals competing at a higher level, Sander has finished ahead of Konsta Lappalainen, a Gold-graded established professional with extensive GT World Challenge Europe experience, and Yann Ehrlacher, a two-time World Touring Car Cup champion and current TCR World Tour regular.
