Franck Montecalvo is an entry-level professional racing in international endurance motorsport. He competed in the WEC, a multiclass championship where GTE cars shared between multiple drivers race alongside prototypes and other classes. His three starts came between 2012 and 2014, mostly for Luxury Racing.[1]
Montecalvo's indexed record spans two seasons in the WEC. He finished 19th in the 2014 championship standings. His most notable results came against established professionals: he finished ahead of Patrick Long, an IMSA and WEC regular with substantial experience, once during his career, and beat Christoffer Nygaard, a Gold-graded driver with 23 WEC starts, on another occasion. However, his regular opponents were stronger; he typically finished behind Nicolas Armindo, a Silver-graded professional, and Christian Ried, a three-time WEC LMGTE Am champion and one of the most prolific drivers in the class with 89 WEC starts.[2]
