Nicolas Borst was a club-level driver racing in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie, a national multiclass endurance championship in which production-based race cars share the track with up to fourteen other classes. He drove the SP 3 class for Car #313 in 2012, his only indexed season.[1]
Borst made four starts across the full 2012 season and finished 23rd in the championship standings. The team he drove for, Car #313, fielded seven drivers that season without taking a win; its strongest driver was semi-professional Lucian Gavris. In the SP 3 class, Borst raced regularly against Uwe Wächtler, who won the class championship that year and against whom Borst typically finished behind. He also met Heiko Eichenberg, an entry-level professional and multiple Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie champion, and usually finished behind him as well.[2]
Borst's record included finishes ahead of a professional driver, Natacha Gachnang, who had raced Formula 3 Euro Series and Star Mazda Championship, and a competitive amateur, Christoph Wüest. His racing ended after 2012.
