Rich Zober is a semi-professional driver whose career spanned three seasons in formula racing from 2006 to 2008. His Racer Rating of 3,380 places him in the semi-professional band, meaning he competed at the level of drivers who win in pro-am and one-make classes and run mid-pack among full professionals. Zober raced exclusively in the Star Mazda Championship across 13 starts, all with Comprent Motorsports, without securing a win or podium finish.[1]

Zober's record against his regular rivals shows a mixed competitive standing. He held a winning head-to-head record against Russell Walker (4–4 in 8 races), Gerry Kraut (5–3 in 8 races), and Charles Anti (3–5 in 8 races), all semi-professional competitors, but struggled significantly against Alex Ardoin, finishing ahead only twice across 11 shared races. His average finishing position across all classified starts was P17.1, placing him solidly in the midfield of the fields he contested.
