🇺🇸 Stephen Leicht

Stephen Leicht is an entry-level professional who raced stock cars across NASCAR's national series from 2005 to 2023. He competed primarily in the NASCAR Xfinity Series over 16 seasons, driving for teams including Robert Yates Racing, JD Motorsports and Hattori Racing Enterprises. He also started four races in the NASCAR Truck Series in 2012 and one in the ARCA Menards Series in 2023.[1]

Across 165 starts in these three championships, Leicht took one win and one podium finish, both in the Xfinity Series. He raced ovals almost exclusively in Xfinity, completing 148 of his 160 starts on oval tracks. His most recent season came in 2021, when he competed part-time in Xfinity over five rounds and finished 32nd in the championship standings.[2]

Leicht's record places him among drivers who regularly competed against much stronger opposition. He raced frequently against Justin Allgaier, the 2018 Xfinity champion, and Michael Annett, typically finishing behind both; he also finished ahead of Denny Hamlin and Christopher Bell, both now elite professionals and recent Cup Series champions, though these meetings were individual races rather than sustained head-to-head competition. His single Xfinity win came in a field that mixed amateur and semi-professional entrants with established professionals and graded drivers.
