Stephen Leicht is a professional stock car racer who spent his career in NASCAR's national series, competing primarily in the NASCAR Xfinity Series from 2005 to 2021. He also made brief appearances in the NASCAR Truck Series in 2012 and the ARCA Menards Series in 2023. His most extensive tenure was with Robert Yates Racing, which fielded him for 57 of his 160 Xfinity starts. Leicht raced predominantly on ovals; 148 of his 160 Xfinity starts came on oval tracks.[1]

Over 18 seasons of indexed racing, Leicht scored one win and one podium across 165 starts. His Xfinity career spanned 16 seasons with fluctuating activity; he finished 32nd in the championship standings in his final season of 2021, when he ran only five rounds. His single victory came in the Xfinity Series, a notably sparse tally across a career spent in a field that mixed amateurs with graded professionals and established competitors. He also competed as a co-driver in one ARCA Menards Series start in 2023.[2]

Leicht regularly raced against established professionals including Justin Allgaier, the 2018 Xfinity champion, and Michael Annett, though he typically finished behind both. He also competed occasionally against elite-level drivers; he finished ahead of Denny Hamlin nine times and Ty Gibbs, the 2020 and 2021 ARCA champion, twice across their meetings in the Xfinity Series.
