Steve Boley was a professional racing driver competing in NASCAR Xfinity, a national single-class oval racing championship that fielded amateur through graded professional drivers in the same field. He raced for Key Motorsports and made six starts across the 1992 to 1995 seasons, finishing 42nd in the 1995 championship standings.[1]
Boley's record against the regular competitors he faced showed him running consistently behind stronger drivers in the field. He finished behind Kenny Wallace and Bobby Dotter, both professionals with considerably more extensive Xfinity experience than his own limited schedule. He did finish ahead of Jeff Gordon, then an established professional with an FIA Gold rating, on two occasions, and ahead of Ward Burton twice as well, though these victories came against drivers who were far more active in the series than Boley himself.[2]
