Ted Ambrose Jr. is a developing amateur racer who competed in NASA, a national multiclass endurance championship mixing amateurs through to graded professionals on road courses across the United States. He raced a BMW M3 in the GTS3 class, a category for German production cars, over nine seasons from 2014 to 2023, recording 35 starts and finishing 30th in the championship standings in his final season.[1]
His single podium came against a field that included competitive amateurs and club-level drivers who made up the regular grid. He finished ahead of Vernon Mcclure, a competitive amateur with 51 NASA starts and experience in Porsche Carrera Cup, on three occasions, and once beat Tyler Kicera, an entry-level professional who had competed in Trans-Am TA2. Against his most frequent rivals, however, Ambrose typically finished behind both Mcclure and Eric Wong, a club-level driver with 155 NASA starts who regularly outpaced him.[2]
