Vernon McClure is a semi-professional racing in national multiclass sprint championships, primarily NASA's German car classes. He drives a BMW E46 M3 for most of his racing and has been active since 2014, with 72 starts across four series. His main base is NASA, where he has contested the GTS3, GTS4 and Spec E46 classes over thirteen seasons.[1]

McClure took the 2017 NASA championship and has built a career of consistency in that series, accumulating nine wins and 35 podiums from 50 starts. His record there sits against a field spanning amateurs to graded professionals. He has also raced Porsche machinery in Porsche Carrera Cup NA and PCA Club Racing, taking two podiums from 17 Carrera Cup starts in 2021 and 2022, and finished sixth in the Carrera Cup championship standings in his final 2022 season. Two endurance starts in American Endurance Racing, a multiclass series mixing crewed prototypes and production cars, round out his indexed career.[2]

In his most regular competition, McClure typically finishes ahead of club-level drivers and sits closely matched with Eric Wong, a developing driver and three-time NASA GTS3 champion. He has twice beaten both Efrin Castro, a Bronze-graded professional and two-time Porsche Carrera Cup Pro-Am champion, and Curt Swearingin, a Bronze-graded professional with titles in PCA Club Racing and GT4 America. McClure races with TPC Racing, an established outfit that has fielded 27 drivers and taken 15 wins across the index.
