Over two seasons Negrão finished 33rd in the 2016 Stock Car Pro Series championship standings. In that span he raced against established professionals including Gabriel Casagrande, a two-time Stock Car Pro Series champion with extensive single-seater and touring car experience, and Néstor Girolami, an FIA Gold-graded driver who has competed across the World Touring Car Cup, TCR World Tour and Turismo Carretera. Negrão finished ahead of Casagrande once and ahead of Girolami twice across their meetings, though both remained closely matched with him over the season.[2]
