French F4 is a single-seater sprint championship founded in 1993, based in France and aimed at drivers stepping up from karting. The series runs open-wheel cars and operates as an entry-level professional series, with a field considerably stronger than the feeder categories it draws from but noticeably weaker than the Formula Regional and sportscar championships that attract its graduates. Arthur Dorison and Alexandre Munoz lead the current grid. Drivers regularly progress to Formula Regional European and to sportscar racing via Le Mans Cup and Road to Le Mans, establishing French F4 as a stepping stone on the path to higher single-seater and endurance competition. The series continues to operate under FIA sanction.
