🇩🇪 Montego Maassen

Montego Maassen is a German racing driver competing in French F4, where he holds a Racer Rating of 3,841. This places him at semi-professional level, the calibre of driver who wins in pro-am and one-make classes and runs mid-pack among full professionals. He holds the FIA Silver categorisation, which denotes a professional-level driver in sportscar and endurance racing, typically early-career; this grading applies only within GT and endurance contexts and carries no implication about his standing in single-seaters. Across 33 starts in French F4 from 2024 to 2025, Maassen has recorded 6 podiums but no wins, averaging a ninth-place finish.[1]

Maassen's record shows him as a mid-field competitor in a competitive national formula field. His head-to-head record against his most frequent rivals is mixed. He has finished ahead of Rayan Caretti in 11 of 32 shared races, but trailed him in 21; against Jules Roussel Champigny he holds a 12-19 deficit over 31 encounters. He fares better against some rivals, notably outrunning Alexandre Munoz, the 2025 French F4 champion, on 7 occasions in 25 races together. Against Roméo Leurs, another Silver-graded driver, Maassen finished ahead 17 times in 28 races. His strongest performances have come against established drivers: he has beaten Taito Kato, the 2024 French F4 champion and a significantly stronger driver, on three occasions, and Jules Caranta three times as well.[2]

In his second season of racing, Maassen finished eleventh in the 2025 French F4 standings after 14 rounds with three podiums. His results place him as a developing professional gaining experience in a feeder series, competitive enough to beat stronger drivers occasionally but not yet establishing himself as a consistent frontrunner.
